Our Story

The Quirky Collection is a sister company of Limelite Creative in Falkirk, Scotland. Limelite Creative is an innovative graphic design service with over 20 years industry experience within the public and private sectors. They deliver bespoke branding and creative graphic solutions from corporate to quirky for businesses and organisations as far as Dubai.

As well as helping business brands stand out visually, founder Alison M Harkins always had a desire to design and launch her own products, having helped other companies launch theirs into the marketplace.

And so, in 2020, 'The Quirky Collection' was born with products from its very first range 'Cheez 'n' Pickle & friends' unleashed.

The story behind our Cheez 'n' Pickle™ range

Cheez ‘n’ Pickle & friends are a delightful group of animals that are very relatable to all age groups. Characters include Hop the frog, Bizzi bee, Sticky spider, Slurp the dog, and most recently - Bruce the Highland cow, a new addition for 2024!

It all began with Pickle, the founder's black moggie! Her boundless energy and humorous antics inspired the development of The Quirky Collection™. Her character was actually digitally created in 2012 but lay dormant until 2020!

Pickle was a delightful character and quite possibly the quirkiest cat around, regularly chasing multi-coloured pom-poms around the house! She was even partial to small bites of cheddar cheese! Yes, that is exactly where the idea for 'Cheez' the mouse came from!
